Established in 2001 by six Idaho dairymen seeking vertical integration, High Desert Milk has become a key player in the dairy industry. Operating from its facility in Burley, Idaho, the company began producing Nonfat Dry Milk in 2008. In 2012, an expansion was initiated to include the manufacture of butter and buttermilk powder.
High Desert Milk's commitment to quality is evident in its comprehensive control over every aspect of dairy operations, from field to fork. A majority of the feeds used are cultivated on their own farms, emphasizing self-sufficiency. The company's milking operations are closely monitored for quality through its in-house, state-certified lab facility. Milk is efficiently transported by High Desert's fleet of tankers, covering local hauls, as all dairies are located within a 30-mile radius of the facility.
