Established in 1935 as "Milchversorgung Ingolstadt eG m.b.H.," our cooperative has evolved significantly. The construction of our iconic dairy facility in 1940 marked the initiation of fresh product production, later diversifying into roller-dried milk powder in 1960. A pivotal collaboration with McDonald's in 1978 set the stage for our positive trajectory. The strategic merger with Thalmässing in 1987 formed "Milchwerke Ingolstadt-Thalmässing eG," expanding our collecting area through subsequent mergers and acquisitions. Responding to market demands, our production dynamics shifted in 1996, with basic mix production moving to Thalmässing while Ingolstadt expanded milk powder production. Significant investments in Thalmässing followed heightened sales of basic mix in 2004/2005. Our Ingolstadt plant underwent modernization from 2010-2013, emphasizing increased storage capacity, milk powder production, and a new office block. Since 2015, we've been the exclusive supplier of basic mix for Shake and Sundae for McDonald's Germany. Our commitment to responsible practices encompasses human resources, nature, and the environment, sustained by the dedication of our 68 employees.
